Manager Systems EngineeringWhat does a successful Application Support Manager do
As an experienced member of DNA Shared application services team the successful candidate will be responsible for installing upgrading configuring monitoring troubleshooting and ensuring the security compliance of various DNA surround products. This role involves participating in Go Live/Merger events providing oncall support and collaborating with the Programming and Release Deployment teams.
What will you do:
Installation upgrades configuration and troubleshooting of packaged application code to internal / test and production environments
Incident Problem & Change Management
PerformedDatabase Refreshtasks for Test and Production Servers
Familiarity with ITIL and SDLC life cycle phases
Install/execute and finetunedStored ProceduresSQL QueriesandUser Defined Functions.
Handled Performance Tuning and Optimization with strong analytical troubleshooting skills for quick issue resolution in missioncritical environments
Ability to work on complex technical issues
What you will need to have:
Good communication and reasoning skills.
Bachelors degree preferably in Information Technology Computer Science Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
Overall 812 years of experience.
At least four years of experience in Computer Operations.
Strong working knowledge of Unix Windows operating environment IIS Batch Scripting
Experience with SQL programming language and scripting
Experience with certificate management
Experienced in completing tasks(timebound) within stringent SLAs
Experience working in the financial industry would be a benefit
Knowledge of ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
Sound knowledge and practical approach towards ITIL concepts especially Incident Management Change Management and Problem Management
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with the next level teams and clients solve major issues.
Flexible to work in shift or weekend on business demand.
Experience in Site Reliability
What would be great to have:
Knowledge of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) process Agile methodologies Jenkins Git and Middleware Technology
Automation and scripting proficiency (scheduled jobs Splunk Python Selenium).
