JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements: Bachelor of Education certification for welding experience in a shop and shop safety a necessity.
The Ideal Candidate would possess the following background philosophy and experience:
- Experience with Junior and Senior High Shop an asset
- An ability to tailor an Individual curriculum along an outcomesbased / outcomesdeveloped continuum.
- An ability to develop implement and monitor Individual Program Plans for students with mildmoderate developmental disabilities that provides sequential learning and opportunities to integrate with same age peers in different grades.
- Other goals for students include increasing independence enhancing selfesteem and improving social/interpersonal skills.
- Effective organizational and classroom management skills Supervision and planning for Educational Assistants.
- An ability and commitment to work as a member of a team in a collaborative work environment.
- An ability to establish productive relationships with staff and parents.
- A commitment to the Assessment for Learning model.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training is an asset.

All candidates must hold an Alberta Teaching Certificate have knowledge of curriculum and teaching experience at those levels/subject areas and demonstrated interpersonal and classroom management skills
