Position: PGT English Teacher
Location: On-site India
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging English language curricula for secondary school students.
- Deliver lessons on literature grammar writing and vocabulary.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through exams quizzes and projects.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to foster improvement.
- Manage classroom behavior and create an inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate cross-curricular teaching methods.
- Organize and participate in school events including literary festivals and debates.
- Maintain accurate student records including attendance and performance metrics.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
- Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
- Adapt lesson plans based on student needs and diverse learning styles.
- Encourage critical thinking and creativity through literature discussions.
- Stay updated on best practices in English teaching and educational methodologies.
- Participate in professional development programs to further enhance teaching skills.
- Foster a love of reading and literature in students of all backgrounds.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in English Education or a related field; Master s preferred.
- Proven experience as a teacher preferably at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of English literature and language teaching principles.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
- Familiarity with educational technology and resources.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Patience and adaptability to meet diverse student needs.
- Certification in teaching ( or equivalent).
- Experience with student assessment tools and methodologies.
- Passion for education and commitment to student success.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
