This is a key leadership role where youll partner with senior leaders to drive business success oversee a small finance team and ensure robust financial reporting and controls.
The Role
The Financial Controller will report directly will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the companys financial information.
- Oversee the daytoday accounting activities including accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting including monthly management accounts and yearend financial statements.
- Prepare and review budgets forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Develop and implement financial policies procedures and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Manage the companys cash flow and monitor financial performance against budget.
- Liaise with external auditors and other professional advisors as required.
- Provide financial guidance and advice to department heads and other stakeholders across the business.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA) or qualified by experience
- A Minimum of 3 years PQE
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role with a strong background in finance and accounting.
- Experience working with Sage50
- Strong analytical skills the ability to interpret complex financial data to "non finance" stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and resultsdriven approach with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
