Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Check/audit received in process and finished parts

  • Perform eye color testing on Adient employees

  • Use appropriate facility systems and procedures

  • Performs layout dimensional and functional checks as necessary

  • Communicate quantity and disposition of rejected parts and process reports and documentation on the same

  • Develops and maintains harmonious working relationship with manufacturing personnel and assists them in resolving questions related to quality of component parts and finished goods

  • Prepares and maintains display boards logs records and reports as required to document the extent and accuracy of quality systems

  • Coordinates gauge calibrations and maintains proper records

  • Engages in safe practices as well as follows safety rules and job rotations

  • Must be willing to report unsafe conditions reporting unsafe acts participating in safety/ergonomic committees participating in safety Kaizen events participating in blue sky initiatives participating in safety audits and participating in safety observation feedback events

  • Assist the plant in achieving safety goals while achieving and maintaining Safe Workplace and Environmental and Sustainability objectives

  • Implements successful pilot build practices. Includes but not limited to: BOM reviews; on line build monitoring documentation of build issues ongoing and final quality checks submission of customer documentation

  • Assist Quality Engineer First Response to lineside Quality Issues

  • Ensures all relevant documentation is quality system compliant

  • Actively participates in plant safety including maintaining safety orderly and calm work

  • Preform conformance testing for production lines. (ex. Hpoints efforts)

  • Maintain calibration and calibration records for lab equipment

  • Perform SPC checks on the production lines daily

  • Perform measurements for Adient and Adient Customers

  • Work with Customer and suppliers with problem solving

  • Perform gage R&Rs (MSA)

  • Must be available for training and overtime when necessary

  • Reviews and Understands the Customer Specific Requirements

Education Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Required:

PC Proficiency good communication and analytical skills good attendance and knowledge of SPC.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Candidate has the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add subtracts multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Candidate has the ability to compute rate ratio and percent.

Reasoning Ability:

Candidate has the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs. Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipment. Ability to lift seats (max. op 50 lbs.) with assistance.
