Job Description

Job Overview

Our client in the textile manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled and resultsdriven Field Sales Representative to join their sales team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving sales growth by attracting new customers and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. You will be expected to understand their products identify market opportunities and contribute to their local and international expansion efforts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales of socks across retail and wholesale channels.
  • Build relationships with new clients while nurturing existing ones to ensure repeat business.
  • Confidently present products and explain the manufacturing process including knitting and finishing to customers.
  • Spot trends and gather insights to recommend new sales strategies and market opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads sales activity and client communications.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets while supporting the wider team goals.
  • Represent the company at sales meetings trade shows and training sessions.
  • Expand the customer base within your assigned territory by following up on leads and identifying new prospects.


Requirements

Key requirements.
  • A bachelor degree or diploma in sales
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales or marketing within the garment or retail sector.
  • Previous experience in sock or textile manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a customerfirst approach.
  • Willingness to travel and engage facetoface with clients when required.


Requirements: 5+ years of experience in HR management having handled over 100 employees At least 3 years in a manufacturing or factory environment familiarity with factory operations is important. Experience handling large teams (200+ employees), preferably unionized environments. Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws, health and safety regulations, and statutory compliance (NHIF, NSSF, PAYE). Expertise in recruitment, employee relations, disciplinary processes, and performance Management. Ability to manage payroll administration (working with finance if necessary). Skilled in conflict resolution and negotiation (especially useful if there are unions). Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) standards. Strong organizational, record-keeping, and administrative skills. Proficient in HR Information Systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and basic reporting.
