Job Description

Job Title: Senior Therapeutic Carer (Driving Essential)
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: 35120 starting salary
Working Hours: Fulltime (165 hours per month)
Shift Pattern: 48hour shifts (occasionally 24 hours) inclusive of sleepins with rest days in between
Service: Therapeutic Childrens Home
Service Users: Children aged 617 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) trauma and neglect backgrounds
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in residential childcare
Employment Type: Permanent

Driving License: Required and must be willing to obtain business insurance.

Who is being sought

The role of Senior Therapeutic Carer requires a compassionate and committed individual with experience in residential childcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing onetoone therapeutic care to children aged 617 many of whom have experienced trauma and neglect. The candidate must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and have at least one years experience in the sector.

This role demands flexibility as the carer will be part of the oncall rota and will be required to undertake oncall duties. The carer will support children in social educational and leisure activities helping them experience the joys of childhood including family visits holidays and trips.
