An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Debtors Supervisor to join a leading organisation. This role is key to managing the businesss credit risk exposure ensuring robust financial processes and driving the effective collection and management of debtors. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a robust financial credit risk model to reduce credit exposure ensuring adherence to regulations and improving competitive advantage.
- Review and improve standard operating procedures (SOP) for credit granting activities to ensure sound risk limits for clients.
- Maintain and update the credit database to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting manage debtor ageing and report on actual versus budgeted cash inflows.
- Handle customer relationships resolving queries promptly and attending internal meetings to ensure effective communication.
- Manage insurance cover credit limit increases and provide credit risk recommendations based on customer financials.
- Supervise and mentor the team ensuring continuous training and adherence to best practices.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies and provide support across regional teams regarding credit and debtor management.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Relevant financial degree or equivalent with a Credit Management Qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in credit management particularly in multicurrency collections for multinational debts.
- Demonstrated experience in people management and team leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft D365 SAP Ariba Coupa and MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail strategic thinking and the ability to manage complex relationships.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to present information clearly and accurately.
- Ability to work crossfunctionally driving process adherence and systems adoption.
