Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations including corporate tax VAT and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate annual audits with external Auditors and address audit queries.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely monthend and yearend closing.
- Monitor changes in financial legislation and accounting standards (e.g. IFRS and GAAP).
- Support internal reporting requirements and provide financial data for decisionmaking.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure the timely submission of statutory reports.
- Assist with internal controls and ensure financial processes align with corporate policies.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Qualified CA(SA)
- 1 year postarticles experience
- Very strong academics (first attempt board passes) & distinctions
- Analytical thinker with attention to detail and business acumen
- Industry experience in retail is ideal but were open to sharp candidates from other sectors
