Get to Know the Team
MALTA stands for Mobile Apps Libraries Tools & Automation.
The teams main focus is to allow mobile developers to build test and deploy the best mobile apps to end users with confidence.
Get to Know the Role
Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager your primary area of responsibility would be to construct internal tools that facilitate aspects of mobile development such as app deployment stability monitoring and assistance for mobile engineers in identifying and resolving production issues more rapidly.
This role is based onsite in Petaling Jaya office
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will design develop and maintain the main components of internal tools supported by the team.
- You will collect and analyze user feedback identifying areas for improvement and prioritizing feature development accordingly.
- You will implement best practices for web development ensuring highquality code and adhering to performance security and accessibility standards.
- You will proactively identify and troubleshoot issues implement fixes and ensure portal stability and performance.
- You will collaborate closely with teams across Grab to understand and build what is needed to ensure a delightful mobile developer experience.
- You will take full ownership of projects from design to implementation and deployment.
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- You will have solid software engineering and coding skills. Specifically were looking for someone with experience in a backend language like Go Python Scala Java or C.
- You will build our frontend applications and be comfortable working with HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- You will work with relational databases such as MySQL so familiarity with how they work and how to work with them is important.
- Writes extensible code for complex projects and picks the right abstractions that adhere to SOLID principles. Understands more complex data structures and algorithms and recognizes when to use them.
- Experience with defect tracking tools and version control.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with web frameworks and tools such as Webpack etc is preferred.
