Job Description

Syngenta seeks an experienced Emergency Response Team Safety Manager for our Grangemouth site. This crucial role involves building and managing a compliant emergency response service adhering to UK regulations and standards. In this role youll have the chance to enhance your skills in chemical emergency response management deepen your understanding of regulatory compliance and hone your abilities in specialized team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain emergency response plans procedures and protocols
  • Ensure compliance with evolving UK regulations
  • Manage and enhance the effectiveness of the emergency response service
  • Deliver scenario training for emergency response and management teams

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in emergency response and safety leadership in industrial settings
  • Indepth knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks HSE guidelines and COMAH Regulations
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field; NEBOSH National Diploma preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in safety audits risk assessments and safety management systems
  • Ability to influence operational managers on safety priorities

Syngentas Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two awardwinning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing engineering scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate safely reliably and cost effectively and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield. 

At Syngenta Grangemouth we have four plants dedicated to active ingredient (AI) manufacture and one finished product formulation and packaging plant with the most recent facility opening in May 2010.
