Salary National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from 52400 to 61000 and London 57700 to 67000 per annum (Salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

Help us improve how financial services are marketed sold and distributed. Around 34000 unregulated Appointed Representatives (ARs) carry out these activities and are overseen by regulated firms known as principals.

The FCA has identified potential harms arising from Appointed Representatives (ARs) and their principals which operate in a wide range of financial markets. To address these risks of harm the Appointed Representative Department has been set up to undertake targeted action against the highest risk business models and Principles/ARs which represent the most significant risks of harm.

The Strategy Engagement and Data team leads on the design and oversight of the AR strategy and manages internal and external stakeholder relations and multifirm projects. This role is all about making best use of the FCAs data to ensure we focus our resources on the most harmful issues.

The Departments work is fast moving and has the potential to be highprofile. The successful candidate will need to quickly evaluate datasets to identify key harms and help the team develop a rapid strategy to mitigate the harms.

This role is suitable for an experienced data analyst capable of leading complex data analysis projects (5 years experience) and to help the department take a data led approach to developing strategy.
