Responsibilities:
Assemble package label and ship both hazardous and nonhazardous materials following quality standards and regulations (49CFR/IATA).
Transport materials to/from production buildings and Magazines and log details.
Create Freight Bills DG Declarations and Bill of Ladings for shipments using FedEx and UPS systems.
Inspect incoming materials and manage production kits MRO and line supplies.
Perform material handling duties and ensure ERP system accountability.
Verify receiving work orders and shipping data for accuracy.
Assist with scheduling and coordinating shipments including planning for overtime when needed.
Conduct inventory control (cycle counts audits) and assist with physical inventories.
Provide training and support to team members on new processes or procedures.
Ensure compliance with military packaging requirements and regulatory shipping standards.
Work with planning teams to ensure timely packaging orders and lead times.
Attend Sales Order Kickoffs (SOKO) as the shipping representative.
Qualifications:
Valid drivers license meeting DOT requirements.
Knowledge of Government Bills of Lading (GBL) and ability to get certification in 49CFR/IATA for shipping dangerous goods.
Ability to operate forklift and golf cart.
High school diploma or GED.
5 years of relevant experience.
This role involves handling both dangerous and nondangerous goods ensuring regulatory compliance and leading inventory management tasks. It requires strong organizational communication and technical skills to manage shipments support the team and ensure quality control.
