Carrieris looking for anApplication Engineer Product Managementto join theCommercial HVACliquid cooling product management team. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer with HVAC or systems experience whos ready to apply their technical knowhow in a more dynamic customerfacing role. The Application Engineer Product Management will be tactically involved in the of customer facing application engineering in HVAC or mechanical systems for new products in liquid cooling offerings.
This role can be based out of Syracuse NY or Charlotte NC but must be onsite with travelof up to 25 in the USA and globally.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand applications characterize problems and propose solutions through Carriers liquid cooling product offering
- Respond to customer requests by leading product selection effort and submitting proposals
- Support new product introduction through development of sales tools & product literature
- Responsible for new product training for sales and service communicating product and system strategies
- Support presale customer visits (at Carrier factories and field sites) i.e. meet with customers and provide technical presentations
- Lead voice of channel and voice of customersurveys and interviews
- Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows work with developers advertisers or production managers to market products or services
- Conduct competitive product and service analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience to develop product requirements and specifications
- Collect and track regional/geographical regulatory trends (related to i.e. refrigerants minimum efficiency & building codes)
- Set key performance indicators product and program targets
- Manage new product introduction action tracker
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- 5 years of application engineering product marketing and/or product development experience in HVAC thermal or mechanical systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical electrical or chemical engineering
- HVAC or other manufacturing industry experience i.e. commercial sales product management or application engineering
- English verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with marketing activities i.e. branding management sales tools development and promotional materials
- Combination of technical skills being a selfstarter business understanding selfdirection and interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Analytical mindset and datadriven decisionmaking
- Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers at various levels within an organization
- Present and speak in front of a large variety of audiences
