Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned coordinated and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary
Hygiene equipment mechanics install operate inspect perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps water purification equipment water distribution systems laundry and shower facilities and fumigation equipment. Provides technical assistance guidance or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics. Performs other tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent. Six years of related work experience. Complete the Basic Hygiene Equipment Operator Course or equivalent. Complete Advanced Military Maintenance School courses or civilian equivalent as applicable. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Indepth knowledge of electrical circuitry electrical principles and formulas and their practical application to the equipment and systems repaired. Ability to apply knowledge of wire color codes symbols layout sheets wiring diagrams schematics technical orders and manufacturers specifications. Thorough knowledge of the entire water treatment system and user requirements in order to locate problems and initiate corrective action. Ability to read meters gauges charts and experience in regulating water volume and performing treatment processes. Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License. Ability to comply with all established methods safety standards quality standards and time schedules applicable to this position. U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
