Job Description
Responsibilities:
Position Summary
-
Equipment Operator II is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of moderately complex automated assembly machines.
-
This individual will ensure the continued operation of assembly machines through interpretation of and appropriate response to machine faults and through occasional alignment of stations and fixtures.

This individual will perform moderately complex repetitive tasks associated with machine operation and is expected to endure a moderate level of equipment attentiveness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

All essential duties and responsibilities of Equipment I in addition to those outlined below.

Adjust parameters (within allowable limits) to ensure good quality and optimal machine efficiency.

Able to interpret machine faults and determine root cause. Able to permanently rectify the issue (within the validated condition of the equipment) such that fault no longer occurs.

Capable of performing minor machine adjustments changeovers and setups without maintenance intervention

Able to demonstrate flexibility in operating multiple machines of moderate complexity.

On manufacturing lines with multiple team members effectively leads operation of equipment ensuring as required tasks are completed.

Responsible to complete basic Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks.

Completion of Oracle Transactions (Backflushing) jobs as required per department.

Supports overtime activities as required.
Qualifications:
Knowledge Skills & Qualifications
-
Must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities for Machine Operator I.
-
Ability to complete Backflushing in Oracle for processes within department (Per department).

Demonstrated ability to complete / assist with tooling changes on assigned lines.

Proactively works with supervisor/coordinator to schedule WO/PM work. Able to close out WO/PM tasks within appropriate CMMS system.

Successfully leads machine operation with multiple associates assigned to the line to meet line standards or works with team of machine operators to run multiple machines or more complex machines.

When requested participates in team meetings or problem-solving improvements.

Mentors and trains prior level team members.

Supports basic equipment repair under supervision of technicians.

Basic Microsoft (Outlook Excel Word) and computer experience preferred.

Able to read and understand procedures.

Must be able to perform visual inspections with and without the aid of magnification tools.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit or stand for the duration of the shift.

Must be able to repetitively move and lift objects of up to 20 lbs.
