Job Description
Living Roots is an emerging regenerative agriculture company based in Thailand. We design and manufacture highperformance biological and mineralbased fertilizers using AI fermentation and soil biology. Our mission: help farmers grow more with less restore their soils and create a resilient agricultural future across Asia.
The Role: Trials Manager
Were looking for a bold and passionate Trials Manager to design execute and scale our product trials across Thailand and Southeast Asia. This is not just agronomyasusual. Its a chance to build the scientific foundation for a regenerative revolution from rice and sugarcane to durian and beyond.
Youll lead our product testing work across farms coordinating with dozens of growers research partners and internal product teams. Youll need grit scientific rigor and the adaptability of a startup operator.
This role is ideal for someone who is equally at home in muddy boots and structured datasets who can engage with farmers run fieldwork and also distill insights that shape our products and strategy.
You will be working with our AI tool Hypha to help make recommendations on fertilizer use and helping farmers transition towards regenerative agriculture.
Tasks
- Design & Lead Field Trials: Plan and execute scientifically valid cropspecific trials to evaluate Living Roots BioNutrient products.
- Work with Farmers & Partners: Build deep relationships with growers across rice sugarcane durian and a range of horticultural and field crops.
- Travel Extensively: From Isaan to Chiang Mai to Malaysia youll go where the crops grow.
- Analyze and Report: Collect field data track yield & plant health outcomes and generate actionable learnings.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Interface with product R&D microbial production and AI teams to translate trial results into product evolution.
- Grow the Trials Program: Build trial protocols documentation and processes that scale with our ambitions.
- Live Regeneration: Model curiosity care for the soil and systems thinking in everything you do from how you build partnerships to how you design experiments.
Requirements
- 3 years agronomic or crop science experience (onfarm in trials or related R&D roles)
- Strong knowledge of tropical crops especially rice sugarcane durian and youll be working across dozens of crops
- Fieldready: Comfortable in varied environments from conventional farms to remote organic systems
- Proven ability to run structured trials and interpret results
- A regenerative mindset: Interested in soil health microbial interactions and systems change
- Willingness to travel across Thailand and Southeast Asia
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced earlystage environment
- Bonus: Background in regenerative organic or biological agriculture
