Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic selfmotivated Strategic Communications Manager who thinks strategically and implements impactful communications that connect with the hearts and minds of our audience stakeholders.

In this role you will lead a team that develops highquality communication strategies that engage our customers members and partners while strengthening our brand reputation. Your primary responsibilities include shaping and managing our corporate narrative leading audience engagement efforts driving our social media strategy and serving as the inhouse public relations champion.

This is a FT hybrid position based in Portland Oregon.

Pay Range

$92940.40 $118497.46 annually (depending on experience).
*Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

  • Primary Functions:

    • Lead the Strategic Communications team in developing communications strategies ensuring alignment across all audience segments and brand narratives.
    • Develop communication strategies for highprofile strategic needs and special projects.
    • Establish and guide the team in bestinclass proofofperformance reporting.
    • Liaison across product marketing brand marketing and digital marketing to ensure organizational alignment and narrative consistency.
    • Lead social media strategy drive storytelling across channels to create brand awareness audience engagement and social growth; oversee the crossfunctional social team.
    • Write edit and coordinate content for highprofile projects.
    • Partner with the creative team to develop campaign assets.
    • Act as a companywide communication expert linking initiatives connecting proactive work supporting a seamless customer journey and strengthening brand reputation.
    • Manage vendor relationships as needed including developing Statements of Work (SOW overseeing vendor deliverables and ensuring quality and brand alignment.
    • Oversee media relations including speechwriting presentations scripts talking points. and collateral materials.
    • Serve as the lead for proactive and reactive issues management developing issue positions and related reputation management materials.
    • Manage the team budget including development tracking and ROI reporting.
    • Meet business goals aligned with departmental objectives.
    • Maintain department priorities and thrive in a deadlinedriven environment.
    • Allocate staff and budget resources effectively to achieve goals.
    • Be an excellent leader by providing training mentoring and career development opportunities for the team.
    • Ensure adherence to department and organizational standards policies and procedures.
    • Identify and implement process improvements.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in English journalism communications marketing or equivalent experience; masters degree preferred.
    • 610 years strategic communications experience including at least 2 years in a leadership role; 3 years of healthcare experience preferred.
    • Ability to partner lead and accomplish tasks in a crossfunctional organization.
    • Strong understanding of communication best practices and emerging trends.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to represent company values and brand promise internally and externally.
    • Demonstrate strong project management and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in MS Office; intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite marketing project management software and Marketo skills preferred.
    • Ability to effectively lead multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.


    Contact with Others & Working Conditions:

    • Internally with all departments and senior level management. Externally with clients and consultants.
    • Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard work constant sitting and phone work. Must be able to navigate multiple screens. Work in excess of 40 hours per week including evenings and occasional weekends to meet business need.
