To thrive as the FullTime Director of Nursing at Butterfield Trail Village candidates must possess a current RN license in good standing with ASBN and preferably hold a Bachelors degree in Nursing. A minimum of five years of upperlevel management experience in a longterm care or geriatric setting is essential showcasing your strong leadership skills. Proficiency in MS Office and adaptability to BTVspecific software are crucial for daily operations. Critical thinking skills will empower you to identify problems gather data and draw valid conclusions. Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication abilities are necessary to cultivate positive relationships with residents families colleagues and healthcare providers.

Tactful communication is vital for navigating sensitive situations while your organizational skills will help prioritize responsibilities effectively. Additionally maintaining confidentiality and participating in afterhours nursing call rotations will reinforce your commitment to resident wellbeing and safety.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Current RN license in good standing with ASBN.
• Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
• Must maintain all certifications and licensure as well as any ongoing training/education required by OLTC.
• Five years of upperlevel management experience in a longterm care or other geriatric setting is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office skills with an ability to become familiar with BTVspecific programs and software.
• Must incorporate critical thinking skills to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills written and oral communication.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive appropriate relationships with residents families coworkers physicians and their representatives.
• Uses tactful diplomatic communication techniques in potentially sensitive and/or emotionally charged situations.
• Ability to define problems collect data establish facts develop systems to reduce problems educate others on the systems and monitor results.
• Ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities and to work independently.
• Must respect confidentiality of resident and coworker information.
• Ability to rotate nursing call with other administrative nursing staff in order to provide a satisfactory answer/resolution to any nursingrelated questions that arise after business hours.
