About the Role:

As the MEL Lead you will be the driving force behind evidencebased decisionmaking ensuring the strong performance of our monitoring evaluation and learning functions across all country projects. You will spearhead the development and of MEL strategies and evaluation designs playing a pivotal role in shaping our impact. Reporting directly to the Country Director you will collaborate closely with project managers component coordinators and senior leadership.

What Youll Do:

  • Lead Impact Measurement: Design and implement rigorous impact evaluations to understand the effectiveness of our interventions.
  • Build Robust Data Systems: Establish and manage systems and procedures that deliver timely highquality data for informed decisionmaking.
  • Drive Adaptive Management: Analyze data to provide actionable insights that enable project teams to adapt and improve their approaches.
  • Provide Technical Expertise: Serve as the goto advisor on all technical aspects of monitoring and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with leadership and donor teams on evaluations impact studies and reporting.
  • Develop MEL Frameworks: Create key indicators tools and processes for data collection and reporting across all project components.
  • Integrate MEL into Program Management: Partner with program teams to embed MEL data into planning and decisionmaking.
  • Advance Economic and Impact Measurement: Develop tools for tracking economic benefits and conducting multidimensional impact evaluations.
  • Cultivate Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Champion Knowledge and Innovation: Coordinate knowledge exchange activities and identify relevant funding and partnership opportunities.
  • Foster Donor Relations: Support the Country Director in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with donor agencies government departments and other relevant organizations.

What Youll Bring:

  • 1015 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluating development projects.
  • Preferred from consulting background
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in matrix structures and work independently under pressure.
  • Experience thriving in entrepreneurial and fastpaced environments.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills.
  • Expertise in quantitative field survey techniques and qualitative impact evaluation methods.
  • Indepth knowledge of standard MEL tools (e.g. logical frameworks results frameworks).
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital technology for MEL functions.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to conduct field assessments and synthesize data using statistical software and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) report writing and presentation skills including proficiency in MS Office and relevant database management and analysis software.
  • Ability to engage in highlevel discussions with donors on MEL design sampling outcomes and policy implications.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to project locations.
