Now were hiring a Tech Lead to help us scale a growing Ruby microservices platform mentor engineers and keep our product simple stable and fast even as it grows more complex behind the scenes.
This is a hands-on leadership role: youll guide 35 engineers review code tackle tough technical challenges (especially around performance and databases) and collaborate closely with product and tech leadership.

The role
Were looking for a sharp self-motivated engineer who leads by example. You care deeply about performance code quality and developer experience and youve got the experience to back it up.

What youll do:
- Lead a team of 35 engineers while staying 50% hands-on.
- Remove roadblocks and help with complex architectural work.
- Partner with product and tech leads to deliver fast clean solutions.
- Review code coach engineers and uphold our standards.
- Keep our systems stable simple and scalable.
- Monitor and resolve production issues with confidence.
What youll bring
Prior team or technical lead experience - managing engineers/projects and taking responsibility for the teams software design and delivery.
Excellent Ruby skills and a good understanding of React.
Demonstrable experience building scalable products using technologies such as RabbitMQ Kafka OLTP/OLAP databases AWS/Heroku.
Strong debugging and memory/speed optimization skills.
Wish to stay hands-on in all technical aspects while leading a team of engineers.
Strong communication and collaboration skills (both written and verbal).
Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for code quality.
7 years of coding experience.
