ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition 3M) is the worlds only Center of Excellence for the treatment of patients with extreme medical complications resulting from eating disorders and severe malnutrition. Nurses in the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders play a vital role on the multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive and collaborative care to this patient population.

The ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders is a 30bed unit with a nursetopatient ratio of 1:5. CNAs and behavioral healthcare techs provide 1:1 care and supervision for every patient. This unique population requires both medical and behavioral interventions.

Job Summary

Under general supervision assist in the provision of food service and nutritional programs. Assists in planning and producing meals based on established guidelines teach principles of food and nutrition or counsel individuals.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in conducting nutritional assessments of individuals including obtaining and evaluating individuals dietary histories to plan nutritional programs. 30
• Assist in planning menus or diets or guide individuals or families in food selection preparation or menu planning based upon nutritional needs and established guidelines. 30
• Assist in researching food nutrition or food service systems. Analyze menus or recipes standardize recipes or test new products. 20
• Assist in planning and referring of patients to other relevant services to provide continuity of care. 20

Education:

• Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program Required

Work Experience:

• 13 years
