Job Purpose
The Sr. Director of Finance is a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing financial planning budgeting forecasting and accounting operations to support the hospitals financial accuracy health and longterm sustainability. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) this role provides executive leadership with datadriven insights and strategic recommendations to enhance financial decisionmaking and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
This position requires strong analytical skills in financial modeling forecasting and data analysis along with excellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate across hospital departments and with external vendors. Additionally the role must stay current on audit best practices and state federal and local regulations governing hospital operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and present monthly financial reports including profit & loss forecast vs. budget and weekly cashflow. Providing recommendations to the CRO & CEO. Develop and maintain financial models analyzing trends operational performance and cost drivers.

Develop and maintain the monthly operating budget and annual operating budget.

Lead hospitalwide financial planning budgeting and forecasting processes ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic priorities. Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial planning and forecasting including developing internal controls to safeguard hospital assets.

Oversee billing operations team. Responsible for accurate and timely billing with regular audits. Create efficient workflows to ensure best practice.

Oversee purchasing department to create workflows to ensure efficiency and best practice in the service and support to all hospital operations.

Assist the CFO with cash flow planning by developing short and longterm cash flow forecasts monitoring liquidity needs and ensuring funds are available to support operational and strategic initiatives. Identify potential cash flow risks and recommend proactive solutions to optimize financial resources and maintain fiscal stability.

Supervisory Responsibility
Supervises the staff while ensuring all functions and procedures of the following departments: Billing and Purchasing.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
Experience:
8 years financial experience. 510 years in a leadership position preferred. Required advanced proficiency in financial systems and excel.
License/Certification/Credential:
CPA required CFA or HFMA certification is a plus.
