Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in business finance banking or a related field
Experience in project coordination or management in the banking or financial services industry
Knowledge of banking software systems or IT project management is a plus
Certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is desirable
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and : Assist in planning and managing bankingrelated projects ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Coordination of Resources: Work with internal teams and external vendors to allocate resources effectively and ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets track expenses and ensure that the project remains within financial constraints.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact between the project team department heads senior management and clients providing regular updates on project status and issues.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all banking projects comply with industry regulations including data protection laws financial compliance and risk management protocols.
Process Optimization: Support the implementation of new banking systems tools or processes designed to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with the project (e.g. regulatory changes system vulnerabilities) and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation including schedules project plans and status reports and ensure compliance with internal banking procedures.
Quality Assurance: Monitor deliverables to ensure they meet the quality standards set by the bank and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Training and Support: Assist in the training of staff and stakeholders on new systems or processes introduced through the project.
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of banking operations financial regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational timemanagement and multitasking skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal teams stakeholders and external vendors
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project Jira or EPM) and financial tracking systems
Knowledge of project management practices within the banking industry
Ability to handle sensitive financial data and maintain confidentiality
Planning and Scheduling: They assist in creating and maintaining project timelines ensuring deadlines are met and managing resources effectively.
Communication: Project coordinators facilitate communication between team members stakeholders and clients to ensure everyone is informed and aligned.
Document Management: They often handle project documentation including contracts reports meeting notes and other projectrelated paperwork.
Tracking Progress: Project coordinators monitor the progress of tasks and report on the status to ensure that the project is on track.
ProblemSolving: They assist with identifying potential issues or risks and help develop solutions to keep the project moving forward.
Budget Tracking: They may assist in tracking project expenses to ensure the project stays within budget.
Quality Control: Ensuring that the project meets the required quality standards and specifications.
