Job Description

St Marks National Theological Centre provides individuals with the tools for ministry in an environment that is centrally orthodox biblically based practical missional ecumenically collaborative and scholarly.

St Marks is seeking a proactive and visionary Library Manager to lead one of Australias most significant theological libraries. The Library Manager will guide a small team of committed staff and volunteers maintain and develop highquality collections and ensure the library continues to support theological learning professional ministry formation and public theological discourse.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and inspiring library staff and volunteers to deliver exceptional service.
  • Managing and developing print digital and audiovisual collections aligned with community needs.
  • Liaise with CSU Library Services on matters relevant to the CSU/St Marks partnership agreement.
  • Planning for highquality library services that support the mission of St Marks.
  • Overseeing library systems technology budgets facilities and risk management.
  • Promoting the library and delivering customerfocused programs outreach and services.
  • Contributing to the ongoing review and innovation of service delivery to support lifelong learning and public theology.

What youll bring:

  • A degree in Library/Information Science or Knowledge Management
  • At least 3 years experience in a senior library role
  • Strong leadership planning and team management capabilities
  • Proficiency in managing library information systems
  • Budget management and risk oversight skills
  • A customerfirst approach and a heart for the mission of St Marks
