We are currently sourcing 3 experienced Electrical Engineers with a strong background in High Voltage (HV) switchgear to be submitted for an upcoming project/client requirement. The ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of postcertification experience in the electrical engineering field with proven expertise in HV systems and switchgear operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design install and commission high voltage (HV) switchgear systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of HV electrical equipment.
- Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve faults within HV switchgear systems.
- Develop and interpret electrical drawings schematics and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local and international electrical safety regulations and standards.
- Oversee and manage electrical subcontractors during installation and maintenance projects.
- Perform HV switching operations and ensure isolation procedures are followed correctly.
- Prepare detailed technical reports maintenance records and progress documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project managers.
- Provide expert technical support during testing and commissioning phases.
- Identify potential risks and implement corrective action plans.
- Contribute to system upgrades retrofits and design improvements for HV systems.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current).
- Minimum 10 years of postcertification experience specifically working with highvoltage switchgear systems in a professional setting.
- Proven ability to manage largescale projects with effective problemsolving skills and strategic thinking.
- Experience working on complex infrastructure or energy projects is preferred.
- Excellent understanding of electrical schematics system designs and safety protocols.
