Description
RPO Recruitments client is looking for a Reefer Monitoring Agent to join their team in Stellenbosch Western Cape. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing installing testing and monitoring refrigerated containers used for exporting highvalue perishable products.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare refrigerated containers with specialized atmosphere control systems.
- Coordinate with container depots and logistics providers to ensure export container readiness.
- Conduct inspections install devices perform leak tests and manage flushing/gassing processes.
- Actively monitor and observe newly installed devices on containers.
- Process and complete work orders job cards and installation reports.
- Order equipment supplies and maintain stock levels of parts.
- Perform technical repairs reworks and warranty repairs on shipping containers at designated locations.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent; technical certifications in refrigeration or related fields are advantageous.
- Minimum of 23 years experience in reefer monitoring with at least 1 year in a technical role servicing or repairing refrigerated containers.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems electrical wiring and cooling unit troubleshooting.
- Understanding of CA technology systems.
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and planning skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with basic MS Office proficiency.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors and after hours when required.
