Position Summary
The LSU Health Sciences Center School of Public Health in collaboration with the Louisiana Office of Public Health STD / HIV Program SHP is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher. The Postdoctoral Researcher will act as a one of a team of investigators for the CDC funded National HIV Behavioral Surveillance System in New Orleans Louisiana. Since 2001 this project has examined the social behavioral and structural factors that place people at risk for HIV / AIDS and data are published locally and nationally to inform and direct HIV Prevention and Service Programs. This position will be partially responsible for the coordination of study activities including participant recruitment data collection and analysis of program data to gauge risk and protective factors for STD / HIV and other related health behaviors. The position will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of information; monitoring adherence to study protocols work plans and facilitating communication between stakeholders and reporting sources; as well as interpreting presenting and disseminating information related to the evaluation of programs and services.
