Job Description
2000 2012 2016 and 2019 virtualisation technologies (Microsoft HyperVand VMWare) and physicaltovirtual (P2V) conversions.
- Strong understanding of IT and virtual infrastructures.
- Orchestrate documentation of procedures standards and activities.
- Install and prepare servers for shipment.
- Rack and Stack server equipment.
- Basic server configuration including network configuration and remote access.
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2 up to Server 2019 installation and/or deployment.
- Creating server operating system deployment images.
- System Centre Configuration Manager.
- Microsoft HyperV 2012 R2 and 2019.
- Microsoft Cluster Services.
- Remote support resolving technical issues and providing technical assistance for all Operating systems.
- Implementing installation configuring monitoring troubleshooting and evaluating existing and new operating systems.
- Confers with database programmers analysts or other system administrators.
- Directs Technicians involved in diagnosing and correcting systems related to failures and performing system management.
- Information processing principles methods and procedures.
Requirements
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric).
- 35 Years of relevant work experience.
- Business communication and understanding.
- MCSE.
- Microsoft HyperV (Advantageous).
- VMware (Advantageous).
- ITIL preferred.
- Valid drivers license nonnegotiable.
- Own Transport essential.
Ability To:
- Propose workable solutions and improvements.
- Perform standard system installations with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform duties under pressure.
- Operate a variety of related Server Software LAN and WAN equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic software hardware and network problems.
- Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
