Trigyn has a contractual opportunity for an Electrical Technician. This resource will be working from the client's office in DRC.
Job Description:
• Install, test, and maintain electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, switches, and outlets.
• Diagnose electrical problems using diagrams, schematics, testing devices, and equipment.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on generators, UPS, solar systems, and electrical panels.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of temporary power systems for field sites.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Coordinate with other trades (plumbers, HVAC, masons, etc.) to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Identify and report potential hazards, defective equipment, and the need for materials or supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures while handling chemicals, ladders, and elevated platforms.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians (masons, carpenters, electricians, etc.) as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent technical certificate in electrical installation or maintenance.
• Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience in electrical works in commercial, industrial, or institutional environments.
• Ability to work on low to medium voltage systems up to 400V and handle electrical loads of up to 500kVA, including the installation and maintenance of related components.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical safety procedures, tools, and materials.
• Experience in the installation and maintenance of generators, solar systems, and distribution boards is an asset.
• Familiarity with international or national electrical standards and codes.
