Description
Join ourNew England Coffeeteam! We are seeking aField Service Technicianfor our Rhode Island area. Employee must live in Rhode Island or surrounding area.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting repairing and installing coffee tea and beverage equipment and all preventative maintenance for our food service and retail customers. We strive to deliver premium products while delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Performs onsite coffee tea and beverage equipment installations and exchanges
- Troubleshoots and repairs customer equipment on site
- Responsively assists customers over the phone with repairs calibrations and troubleshooting
- Proactively detects and corrects potential problems before they occur
- Completes clear and accurate work orders documenting service provided parts used and the results
- Completes all work orders in an accurate complete and timely fashion
- Maintains part inventory levels in companyprovided service vehicle
- Effective communication with company dispatcher to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
- Follows all safety procedures and participates in safety training
- Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment and tools
- Inspects company vehicle and alerts management of necessary or required maintenance/repairs needed on the vehicle in a prompt manner
- Serves as the face of the company by providing a positive professional demeanor and image
- Participates in rotating on call schedule including nights and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager
Qualifications
Education and Experience:The minimum requirements below are representative of the education and experience required to perform this job successfully.
- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of two years of technician experience working on coffee tea and beverage equipment or related field preferred
- Electrical and plumbing experience helpful
Qualification/Skills:The skills listed below are representative of the technical interpersonal and leadership skills required to meet the job qualifications for this position.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Positive customer service attitude and a team player
- Reliable with the ability to work weekends/holidays as needed
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Technology proficiency
- Good communication skills verbal and legible handwriting
