Due to the secure nature of the programme you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be 5 days a week working out of our site in Chippenham.
We are looking for an experienced Release & Deployment Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in overseeing the planning scheduling coordination and of releases and deployments within our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in release and deployment management or a related field requiring similar skillsets.
Key Responsibilities:
Release Planning & Coordination: Develop and maintain release and deployment schedules ensuring alignment with project objectives and technical teams.
Process Management: Establish and optimise release and deployment management processes including rollback strategies and procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with development operations and product teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of releases.
Risk and Issue Management: Identify assess and mitigate potential risks associated with releases while resolving issues efficiently.
Deployment and Monitoring: Oversee deployment activities validate successful releases and monitor postrelease performance to ensure stability and reliability.
Experience working in the Defence sector.
Strong understanding of release management principles and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Excellent project management coordination and problemsolving skills.
Ability to analyse risks troubleshoot issues and effectively liaise with stakeholders.
Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration between technical and business teams.
Desired Competencies:
Knowledge and experience with ITIL processes.
Previous experience in a Release/Deployment Manager or software developmentrelated role.
A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
