The Highways and Infrastructure service provides and manages a range of services that are focused on:
This includes services to invest in operate and maintain assets including roads pavements street lighting structures bridges tunnels traffic signals and trees on the public highway. These are currently delivered through the Councils PFI contract which is scheduled to run until June 2035.
We are looking for a Principal Performance Officer to work within our PFI Contract Management team. You will be providing performance and management information on how our highway maintenance and management services provider is doing to our Performance Manager. You will work with them using your analysis as the basis for recommending the management actions that they should take in line with our contract.
An eye for detail and experience in analysing data preparing reports and presenting your findings is therefore essential in this role. Your talents in these areas will be put to great use ensuring our service provider is delivering on their obligations.
You will work with other teams within Highways and Infrastructure and directly with our service provider across all channels in this role so youll need good written and verbal communication skills and feel confident and comfortable dealing with a wide variety of people at all levels on a diverse range of highway related issues.
We are looking for a candidate with good practical experience of working in a performance environment. Previous highways experience isnt essential but the ability to build relationships and rapport are essential.
You will need to be a dynamic individual who is able to hit the ground running be flexible adaptable and be comfortable working on your own initiative and as part of a closeknit team. If this sounds like you we would like to hear from you.
