Job Description

As a Lead Platform Engineer you ll design build and optimize complex SaaS systems for ground and airborne platforms with intermittent connectivity. This customerfocused role demands expertise in database architecture SaaS services and EU data privacy compliance ideally with experience in AI marketing or advertising tech.

Job Overview

• Architect design and optimize database structures supporting SaaS systems across cloudbased and onaircraft platforms
  
• Develop and maintain highavailability highperformance and scalable database solutions
  
• Ensure compliance with EU data privacy laws (GDPR) and other global data protection regulations
  
• Manage data storage processing and retrieval strategies for both realtime and batch processing workloads
  
• Optimize data pipelines for AI/MLdriven advertising and recommendation systems
  
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate databases with Kotlin NodeJS and TypeScript applications
  
• Monitor and enhance system performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks proactively
  
• Align database strategies with business goals through close collaboration with crossfunctional teams
  
• Implement best practices in database security encryption backup and disaster recovery
  
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and data engineers
  

Requirements

The Qualifications We Seek

Required Education & Experience

• 7 years of experience in database strategy architecture or SaaS system development
  
• Proven expertise in SaaSbased services cloudbased architectures and scalable distributed databases
  
• Strong background in data modeling query optimization and performance tuning
  
• Handson experience with realtime highvolume data processing and AI/ML data workflows
  
• Proficiency in Kotlin NodeJS NestJS TypeScript and React
  
• Familiarity with UI/UX standards Google s Material Design and Figma
  
• Experience with Google Cloud AWS and cloudnative database platforms
  
• Solid understanding of GDPR and data security best practices
  
• Strong problemsolving skills and ability to thrive in fastpaced multitasking environments
  
• Effective leadership mentorship and collaboration with crossfunctional teams
  
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
