About the opportunity
Reporting to the Dean/Head of School the Executive Officer provides highlevel support across planning projects data analysis and process development and improvement. The role will be responsible for leading and supporting a diverse range of strategic and operational activities projects and events and assisting College leaders to meet internal and external planning monitoring review and communication requirements to ensure the realisation of the College and University mission.
The Executive Officer will be responsible for supporting and coordinating a broad range of planning activities and priority operational and strategic projects and processes including working with a diverse range of stakeholders and tracking progress and implementation.
Tasks are performed under the supervision of the Dean/Head of School; however the role often requires the incumbent to work independently and autonomously. The incumbent is therefore required to use initiative and sound judgement in the resolution of issues within the scope of established procedures and guidelines.
What youll do:
- Collaborate with and assist senior staff in the school by providing highlevel support for School planning processes and projects including the preparation of draft documentation review monitoring and reporting
- Working collaboratively within the school to support the delivery of projects and initiatives with specific support to the Dean/Head of School and Business Manager. This includes but is not limited to proactive logistical support drafting of reports project and communication plans stakeholder engagement and correspondence.
- Provide highlevel support to School committees and working groups including planning and organisation of meeting schedules the preparation of documentation meeting outcomes and development of reporting schedules where required.
- Assist with daytoday operations and general administration of the school including but not limited to engaging with university systems and processes providing a positive interface to internal and external stakeholders undertaking basic financial processing and coordinating meeting and event requirements.
- Coordinate School events including all logistical requirements (such as venue bookings invitations relevant technologies and support and catering) ensuring they are managed in a timely manner comply with risk.

- Demonstrated skills in planning implementation and reporting in complex organisations particularly related to operational and strategic projects.
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in project management with demonstrated ability to apply project management methodologies to complete a project within specified requirements.
- A high level of initiative and the ability to apply initiative with working both individually and as a member of a team.
- Strong skills in the use of software applications used in the preparation of documents data analysis and presentations.
- Proven organisational skills and attention to detail including the ability to prioritise tasks manage competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Welldeveloped verbal communication interpersonal and negotiation skills including demonstrated ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders and staff.
- Demonstrated competence with a range of contemporary office systems and applications including electronic and social media.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $113029 comprising base salary within the range of $89091 to $96606 plus 17 superannuation.
