Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Summary:
This position supports the Human Resources Department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The human resource coordinator will have both administrative and specific human resource department related responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- ServeasthefirstpointofcontactfortheHRdepartmentaddressingemploymentrelatedinquiries from applicants employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriatestaff.
- Responsible for nonexempt recruitment including creating and managing job requisitions in the HRIS system posting positions on external sites reviewing candidates and facilitating selection and hiring processes.
- Providing guidance and support to hiring managers andapplicants.
- Develops recruitment plans in collaboration with the hiring manager and executes on thatplan.
- Builds talent networks internally and externally to the university to find qualified active and passive candidates.
- Prepares employment offer letters and assists new employees withonboarding.
- Conductspreemploymenttesting(typingcomputerskills)asneeded.
- Ensures reference and background checks are completed asrequired.
- Review tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatorytraining.
- Liaise with the HR operations team to troubleshoot and solve issues involving employee issues or transactions.
- Assistswithtaskstoaidintheadministrationandexecutionofhumanresourceprograms.
- Prepareandmaintainvarioushumanresourcerecordsensuringaccuracycompliance and confidentiality or information (i.e. new hire paperwork l9setc..
- Complete various employee group billingprocesses.
- Maintain knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employmentlaw.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Minimum of an AssociatesDegree.
- 1 to 2 years of office or related business experience preferably in humanresources.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer serviceskills
- Effective communicator in person via email and telephone with students parents University personnel and externalconstituents
- Proficiency in business applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Google Suite video conferencing data entry and cloud based video conferencingapplications)
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and recruitmentsystem
- Knowledge of employmentrelated laws andregulations
- Ability to composecorrespondence
- Ability to perform detailed job tasks withaccuracy
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meetdeadlines
- High regard for sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work/interact with diverse groups ofpeople
- Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
