Bachelors degree and 57 years fundraising experience required. Fundraising experience in an academic medical setting or within a healthcare organization strongly preferred.
Demonstrated track record of closing six figure gifts.
Superior organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail required.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to the field of professional development.
Must possess advanced knowledge/skills with the Microsoft Office products including Word Excel PowerPoint database software and scheduling/organizing software; and must have exceptional customer services skills. Raisers Edge experience is preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Reporting to the Senior Director the Associate Director of Development will be responsible for raising funds for assigned beat areas primarily within the Departments of OB GYN and Newborn Medicine. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of identifying cultivating and soliciting major gifts in the five and six figure range.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working closely with some of the best physicianscientists in the world the Associate Director will be asked to engage individual donors and consistently close gifts of $50K level and above for assigned specialty areas. Managing a portfolio of approximately 100 donors/prospects the Associate Director will develop and execute strategies to secure gifts that will support the cuttingedge work of BWH and be compliant with patient confidentiality requirements.
The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the Stork Fund and all duties that go along with promoting and soliciting for that fund. He or she will be responsible for preparing and reporting on activity related to assigned areas as necessary to the Senior Director. It is expected that the successful candidate will have the communications skills to develop strong working relationships with assigned physicians and scientists and will be able to balance their expectations with donors and prospects.
