Suffolk County New York is seeking candidates for the position of Suffolk County Police Commissioner.
The work involves responsibility for the planning management and administration of the Police Department including supervision of the Departments internal operations and external contacts with other agencies and jurisdictions. The employee must ensure that Departmental functioning complies with stipulations of the Penal Law the Criminal Procedure Law and other laws of the State and County.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree a high level of leadership analytic and communication skills with extensive experience overseeing a Police department of at least 7000 sworn and civilian personnel.
