Are you a dynamic finance professional passionate about leadership and continuous improvement We are looking for an experienced GL & Intercompany Manager to join our growing team. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead a team of professional accountants and actively contribute to the development of international projects.

Wilhelmsen Business Service Center (WBSC) is part of the Wilhelmsen Group a global leader in maritime services and products with over 164 years of history. WBSC is one of four Wilhelmsen companies based in Szczecin where we employ over 260 professionals in several departments. Our Finance Shared Service team located in Szczecin and Kuala Lumpur consists of more than 100 finance professionals.

What you will work on:

  • Inspire and manage the GL & IC team of 12 colleagues leaders and accountants ensuring professional growth high performance and efficient daily financial operations through effective task delegation and workflow management
  • Deliver highquality financial reporting in compliance with both internal standards and statutory requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external (e.g. internal customers auditors tax authorities and financial institutions)
  • Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support key projects related to the General Ledger including business integrations and system upgrades
  • Lead the transition of new processes into the shared service center
  • Oversee external audits including the preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor requests
  • Standardize procedures to improve inhouse efficiency and develop internal templates for companywide use

What will support you to be successful in this role:

  • 510 years of combined accounting and finance experience including at least 2 years of leading teams and creating a supportive environment that promotes continuous improvement
  • Degree in Accounting Finance or equivalent professional certification
  • Excellent English skills required written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust share clear information and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of financial processes strategic thinking and the ability to analyze data to support business goals in a dynamic environment
  • Previous experience in migration of processes and/or system implementation preferred
  • Experience in using enterprise systems (e.g. IFS SAP Oracle)
