The Opportunity

The Head of Major Projects will oversee the successful of major projects ensuring alignment with key success factors including ontime completion budget adherence quality standards and client satisfaction all while upholding the highest levels of safety and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for supporting mentoring and developing operational teams to optimise project performance. By fostering collaboration and driving the implementation of best practices the Head of Major Projects will play a pivotal role in achieving strategic and operational objectives. The Role

Reporting to the COO the Head of Major Projects is responsible for overseeing the successful of major projects ensuring they align with strategic objectives client expectations and contractual requirements. This role drives excellence in project delivery governance financial performance and stakeholder engagement while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. A key leadership position the Head of Major Projects will mentor and develop operational teams foster collaboration and implement best practices to optimise project performance.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Lead the oversight and of major projects ensuring alignment with strategic goals budgets and quality standards.
• Drive excellence in project governance risk management and compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Provide expert guidance to project teams on planning and completion ensuring integration with MTA systems and policies.
• Ensure financial performance meets business objectives through cost control margin optimisation and commercial risk mitigation.
• Support contract management variation negotiations and claims processes to protect business interests.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
• Ensure health safety and environmental best practices are embedded in project .
• Provide insights to senior management on project performance challenges and strategic recommendations.

You:

• Experience implementing systems and processes to optimise operational efficiency and project outcomes.
