The organisation
The Housing Industry Association is Australias peak private sector building industry body representing builders trade contractors manufacturers suppliers and related industry participants. As a national industry organisation HIAs primary role is to represent and advance the interests of its members.
The role
The Client Services Application and Desktop Support is responsible for the daytoday inductions support and problem resolution of HIAs applications and desktop fleet that are available for members and staff. This role requires a strong customer service focus and excellent communication skills
Key responsibilities include:
Applications Support :
- Provide first/second level helpdesk support to HIA staff and Members.
- Ensure that all Helpdesk Support tickets are fully documented with actions that have been done before sending for escalation.
- Provide members with an introduction of HIA applications included but limited to the following:
- HIA website
- Contracts Online
- CPD Diary (NSW and TAS members)
- Ensure that all requests are resolved within in a timely manner
- Ensure that issues that cannot be resolved in a timely manner are raised with the General Manager It Services
- Record and track all interactions with staff and members through IT services helpdesk system
- Undertake problem analysis whilst ensuring staff and members are kept informed continually of the status of their issue via a daily email update
- Maintain a knowledge base of problem resolutions and where required workarounds for known issues
- Monitor HIA IT Systems using tools available and escalating problems where necessary.
- Package new and updated versions of applications for deployment to HIA workstations
- Deploys Microsoft patches/updates to workstations as required
- Maintain/configure/support HIAs Desktop fleet
- Test new and upgrades of HIA systems as required
To be successful you will require:
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft products and services such as Wi Active Directory O365
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN environment.
- Knowledge of virtualisation technology (HyperV preferred)
- Experience with desktop OS/applications such as Windows 11 Office O365
- Knowledge of Microsoft In tune
- Knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint/OCS
