Job Title: Patient Services Representative Job ID: 0188 Job location: Boston MA Job Recruiter: Tammy Sakalas Job Rate: $22.75 New England Baptist Hospital Boston Massachusetts Patient Service Representative will assist in planning overseeing & organizing daily operations in busy MultiSpecialty practice.
Under the direction of the Physician Manager and/or Director support daytoday front desk operations for the physician practice. Perform initial intake by collecting patient insurance data demographics and copays. Obtain all necessary patient signatures. Scan insurance cards and drivers licenses into electronic health records. Enter all required data into electronic health records ensuring meaningful use and managed care and quality requirements are being met. Verify patients insurance eligibility and ensure all necessary referrals/precertifications and records are in place by the time of visit. Prepare and submit office billing in a timely manner. Prepare endofday cash/copay reports. Prepare the next days paperwork and schedules. Confirm provider schedules and adjust as needed Assist with mail pick up and delivery. Separate distribute and scan mail. Provide phone support and monitor fax inboxes as needed. Assist with surgical ancillary testing and consultation scheduling as necessary.
