The Summer Employment Program provides summer employment opportunities to children stepchildren and spouses of Mayo Clinic employees enrolled in a degree granting program of study and is intended to help supervisors accommodate employee vacation requests when seasonal work volumes are high. Position is temporary.
You will be responsible for coordinating the details of the patients visit by:
Serving as a direct contact and resource to the patient
Preparing the patient for their appointment by performing checkin procedures and rooming for providers
Collecting patient vitals.
Communicating scheduling delays or changes
Assist with wayfinding
Clerical tasks as needed
Position is 100 onsite. Desk Operations has various Desk Operations Specialist positions available in multiple locations schedules and shifts are dependent upon position availability at any given time. Applicants are not applying for a specific area. Qualified applicants are pooled for consideration by any/all active hiring managers.
Required Qualifications :
Must be the child stepchild or spouse of a current Mayo Clinic employee.
Must be currently enrolled in a degree granting program.
Must be returning to college in the fall.
Must be able to work a minimum of 10 weeks.
Must be 18 years of age or older by the start of the program.
**Summer employees should not expect vacation/daysoff to be approved during their summer employment.
