About Break Through Tech
Break Through Tech empowers trains and connects students from different lived experiences to influential tech opportunities. We are focused on launching a generation of diverse tech talent into the workforce with an emphasis on Black LatinX Native American lowincome women and gender nonconforming individuals because those who break into todays tech jobs will be writing the rules that will shape the future for all of us.
Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Business Development will play a pivotal role in recruiting new industry partners aligned with the mission of Break Through Tech. This includes a strategic plan to secure new partnerships with Fortune 500 companies startups and nonprofit organizations to connect them to emerging tech talent that will power the future of the tech ecosystem. With a partnercentric approach this role will focus on delivering value to clients by aligning Break Through Techs current offerings with their partners longterm objectives that drive mutual growth and benefit.
This individual will be the main point of contact for industry stakeholders and should be comfortable navigating complex negotiations at the Director level and above.
The Senior Manager of Business Development must have experience building deeprooted trusted relationships to successfully secure new partnerships with those in the industry. Agility and the ability to thrive in a startup environment is a must. The ideal candidate may have experience in technical recruitment and/or talent acquisition with strong technical competencies.
Successful candidates will need to have and display the following competencies as part of this role:

This is a fulltime benefitseligible 3year term position with the possibility of renewal. This position requires occasional work on evenings and weekends particularly during the academic year. The responsibilities may be completed remotely or hybrid. Travel may account for up to 30 of the time.
Please note: there will be several inperson team meetings per year held at our NYC campus. All travelrelated expenses will be covered in accordance with University policy.
