Main Purpose of Job

The primary objective of this position is to support local department administration and case management staff in exceeding the 50 Federal Work Participation Rate (WPR) and all other FIP Performance Measure targets set by federal and state laws. A critical purpose is to monitor and track the local departments success in getting Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) recipients to participate in work activities identify the systemic and individual reasons why participation does not occur and recommend changes to senior management that will consistently result in meeting and exceeding the WPR and all other FIP Performance Measure goals.

POSITION DUTIES

  • Monitors and tracks the performance of service delivery vendors and local department staff who are accountable for work activities.
  • Monitors and tracks all data management reports that have an impact on FIA performance measures as well as compliance with work program goals and requirements.
  • Examines case records and all case management systems to ensure customer work participation and compliance with Federal and State program criteria.
  • Interprets and apply laws rules and policies that pertain to Family Investment Administration programs.
  • Meets with Family Investment Administration policy systems quality control and work program staff to discuss the state of local office performance in terms of work participation criteria and program functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet all minimum (and selective) qualifications to be considered and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. Please read all requirements before applying.

Experience: Seven years of experience three years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs procedures practices and organizations and an additional four years ofprofessional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs procedures practices and organizations.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs procedures practices and organizations for the required experience.

2.Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 credit hours per year for up to six yearsof the required experience.

3.Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General Administrative Clerical and Office Services field of work on a yearforyear basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

One year of experience working with the Temporary Cash Assistance Program.
One year of experience with WORKS including eligibility and enrollment.
One year of experience reviewing monitoring and gathering information for the Family Investment Programs.
One year of experience evaluating data and generating reports.
