This position will report to the Manager of Legal Practice Support. The position will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative and substantive legal support to the Finance team in an environment where collaboration and exceptional client service is emphasized.
Legal Practice Assistants are part of ML LawPath a comprehensive program that combines substantive law firm experience with practical handson training and professional development opportunities. It is designed to provide the experience connections and continuous learning to fast track your career with an opportunity to form client relationships routinely engage with Practice Group attorneys and legal professionals and gain significant analytical and project management skills. ML LawPath endeavors to help Legal Practice Assistants develop a wellrounded skill set and best practices that will foster their success as legal professionals and beyond.
Morgan Lewis recognizes the benefits of supporting flexible working arrangements. This position will reside in the Boston or the New York office with a hybrid inoffice/remote working schedule. Flexibility with overtime is required. A commitment of two to three years is expected and candidates must start no later than June 30 2025.
Key responsibilities of this position:
Coordinate communication planning and action items across attorney and practice group support teams.
Assist with client document intake and onboarding clients to the clearing systems.
Ensure all documentation is uploaded in specific database correctly and sent back to client in required format.
Maintain and update project management tracker by coordinating with attorneys and clients directly.
Set up logistics for draft agenda for and participate in client calls with attorney teams.
Assist with quality checking billing reports and ensuring adherence to client parameters.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the Finance Practice Group.
Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required;
One 1 year of internship or professional experience preferred; professional services industry experience a plus.
Independent selfstarting and selfmotivated.
Superior written/verbal communication skills strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and within a team environment are a must.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines adapt to changing priorities and balance multiple tasks while operating in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Excel and PowerPoint.
Flexibility to travel and work nonbusiness hours at times as needed.

For positions in New York NY the salary range for this position is $57900.00 $92550.00.
