Your Future Role
2100 colleagues from 46 countries including 800 engineers shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed manufactured and maintained product range includes highspeed regional and local trains subways as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions including emissionfree propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen.
The Train Manager in the Train Validation department ensures that the test activities on the railway vehicles can take place as planned. In this role the Train Manager takes care of the preparation and availability of the vehicle as a test object and is responsible for the safety of all participants on the train. Youll report to Test Team Leader Train Validation and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
Well look for you to :
Represent the Train Validation organization on board the test vehicle during validation and certification activities on Alstom internal and external infrastructure.
Be responsible for the preparation of the test implementation on the train and for ensuring train availability test readyness as well as the overall safety of the test.
Coordinate the operational activities of all onboard personnel and ensure their safety.
Manage the First Aid Box and be familiar with the alert channels in the event of an accident.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the designated representative from the Testing Body responsible for the test campaign.
Ensure that the test objects configuration is properly managed and securitization of valid confirguration documents.
Support the Alstom Test Managers in producing failure reports.
Preparation and maintainance of the test book (chronology of test events) and preparation of daily test status reports.
Evaluate the train sets condition particularly regarding modifications and determine whether the train remains in a safe state.

Graduation from Technician or Engineering school (electrical basis necessary)
On field experience of Test or Validation Technician
General Railway knowledge
Understanding of safety stakes
Structured and organized approach of the job
Coordination skills and ability to take decisions
Practical knowledge of trouble shooting activities
Experience in an international working environment
Willingness for frequent travel with the test object
Fluent in German and English (French beneficial)
