About Break Through Tech
Break Through Tech empowers trains and connects students from different lived experiences to influential tech opportunities. We are focused on launching a generation of diverse tech talent into the workforce with an emphasis on Black LatinX Native American lowincome women and gender nonconforming individuals because those who break into todays tech jobs will be writing the rules that will shape the future for all of us.
Hosted by Cornell Tech Break Through Tech AI is the new program from Break Through Tech on a mission to credential and fasttrack undergraduate women into careers in the fastestgrowing areas of tech: data science machine learning and artificial intelligence. Developed with industry leaders the Break Through Tech AI Program includes three highlevel components that are considered critical for increasing the competitiveness and marketability of students pursuing AI/ML engineering roles: 1 skillsbased training through our Summer Machine Learning Foundations Course 2 industryrelevant portfolios through our AI Studio program and 3 mentorship career coaching and job placement support. Over the next four years the Break Through Tech AI Program will expand nationwide to foster a diverse next generation of AI leaders who will build AI technologies that are fairer and more representative of our society.
Position Summary
At a high level this role will oversee three core areas: 1 instructor hiring onboarding and management 2 oversight of course and program implementation ensuring success of the Hubs and instructors through activities such as data management onboarding and support throughout delivery and 3 university partner management to fuel the development of Break Through Techs instructional help model including the recruitment of Instructional Hubs.

This is a fulltime benefitseligible 3year term position with the possibility of renewal. There is flexibility for the individual in this role to have a hybrid schedule and primary work location at the Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City or to be primarily remote. The Senior Manager is expected to be on campus at least for key meetings and events when necessary.

Essential Functions Include
Instructor hiring onboarding and management 40

Lead the coordination of summer course operations to ensure a smooth best in class student experience. Responsible for ensuring student course questions are answered by instructors in a timely manner and troubleshoot platform issues with the core platforms used to deliver the course (Canvas Codio and Slack).
