The Citadel The Military College of South Carolina is seeking an administrative assistant that will directly support the President (retired Four Star Marine General) Provost Chief of Staff Executive team and their respective staffs.
This role will support The President with the Executive Assistant to maintain the front of house environment in Presidents Office.
Will assist the Provost and Provosts Executive Assistant by filling in for Executive Assistant and Provosts Assistant as needed. May assist with research writing presentation preparation and publication editing. Assists the Provost staff on significant events such as Commencement.
In addition will support the Special Assistant to the Board of Visitors; aid in administrative preparation and archival tasks supporting the Board of Visitors. Support offhours events as required and directed by Executive Events (Protocol/Events) on a casebycase basis.
Minimum Qualifications
College Degree required with five(5 years administrative experience working in support of a senior leader. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Will have limited Supervision; sound judgement; ability to work both as a team member and independently. Must be able to take initial guidance/direction and see tasks through completion with minimal oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference given to former/retired military personnel particularly Senior Enlisted/Warrant/Limited Duty Officers with administrative experience supporting a major staff and/or Flag Officer.
