Job Description
Your mission
- Taking responsibility for structural biology research projects (negative stain and cryoEM) including project management
- Grid preparation cryoEM data acquisition on a Glacios or Titan Krios data processing and interpretation model building and refinement
- Planning development implementation and optimization of cryoEM experiments
- Responsible for the planning and instruction for a group of technical assistants
- Representation of scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleaguescustomers and business partners
Your profile
- Degree in Chemistry or a related field and a Ph.D. in cryoEM of proteins with anexcellent track record
- Several EM map/structure depositions and related publications
- Work experience in the life science industry and project management is an asset
- Good LINUX systems knowledge
- Expertise in all aspects of EM grid preparation TEM operation data acquisition and image processing
- Strong expertise in a variety of cryoEM and structural analysis software (i.e.Relion cisTEM cryoSPARC EMAN CCPEM Chimera and COOT)
- Experience in highresolution structure determination by cryoEM including model building from scratch and structure refinement
- Scripting experience is an asset (Shell Perl Python)
- Independent serviceoriented way of working paired with great team spirit and organizational skills
